Ongoing Education Introduction

Hello!

My name is Austin Hudson, and I’m one of the founders of Oak Advertising. You may know me through my work here at Oak, or in the city of South Jordan, but it may surprise you to learn that I’m a fourth generation small business owner.

Long before I was born, my great grandfather owned a small business as one of the greatest carpenters and furniture-makers in the Salt Lake Valley. My grandfather worked to sell and install carpeting for homes, and later opened a video rental store in the great VHS boom of the 1970s and 1980s. My father worked and thrived as a photographer, and later opened (and franchised) a window coverings business that is still in operation today. Needless to say, the entrepreneurial spirit is strong in my family, and more importantly, I know about the challenges that a business faces from the highest ranking employee to the newest hire.

Here at Oak, we believe in an ongoing partnership with our clients, and part of that comes in the form of education. Our goal isn’t to work ourselves out of a job, rather, to help give you the tools to appreciate how and why we’re so effective at what we do. To that extent, we’re pleased to offer continuing education covering a range of subjects that may be helpful to you.
